“and no living thing lives long or has its life cut short without that being in a book. That is easy for God.” (surat al-fatir: 11)
If we all knew where we are headed with or lives and the lives of those around us, we would have valued every second we share with them. Sometimes, when we chat, laugh or even tease each other, there is always that strong belief within that we have all the time left to spend together.
Death neither sees of your size nor of your age. It neither sees of your beauty nor the populace hovering around you. When its time, it exercises upon the order given to it within the blink of an eye. We have known Abdulrahman to be a nice, cool headed person, a guy of no trouble.
During his last days, we always fix dates to go and collect our original waec from fgc, which we keep postponing because he always say “I can’t go. I’m not feeling well.” Little did I know that his death was approaching.
The day I saw him last was the day he died. I was not myself anymore when I saw him on that hospital bed. I don’t even think he knew I was there. He was totally unconcious. Tears filled my eyes. Had I known that was the last time I will ever see him, I would have stayed longer with him.
Allah’s plan is the best. No doubt about that. And I hope ABDULRAHMAN is now resting in his grave and paradise shall be his final abode.
